Who operates Life Sim
Life Sim is operated by NWTC INC ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy applies to the Life Sim Android application with package name app.simlife.
Game data stored on your device
Your character name, relationships, simulated finances and health, story text, settings, and saved games are stored locally on your device. We do not receive the full saved game or the text of your life story. The limited gameplay categories used for analytics are described below.
Usage analytics we may collect
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether the game is being installed, opened, and used over time. It may collect:
- first app opens, sessions, and general engagement;
- app version, operating-system version, device model, and language;
- a Firebase installation or app-instance identifier;
- coarse region information derived by Google from a masked IP address;
- bounded gameplay events such as starting or ending a life, completing a year, and selecting an event choice or action;
- technical category values such as event or action ID, module, simulated age and year, selected country pack, locale, and generation number.
We do not send character names, relationship names, story text, saved-game contents, simulated money or health values, contacts, precise location, or files to Firebase Analytics. Android Advertising ID collection and personalized advertising signals are disabled.
Diagnostics we may collect
When an unexpected error occurs in a production build, the app may send a limited crash report or diagnostic event. It can include:
- the app version and operating-system version;
- device model and basic technical environment;
- an error message and stack trace;
- a short technical label describing which app operation failed.
Default personal-information collection is disabled. We do not attach your character, saved game, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, financial information, or health information to these reports.
Service providers
We use Google Analytics for Firebase as a service provider to process usage analytics on our behalf. Google's Firebase privacy information is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy and Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We use Sentry as a service provider to process crash reports and diagnostics on our behalf. Sentry's privacy information is available at sentry.io/privacy. Analytics and diagnostic data may be processed in countries where Google, Sentry, or their subprocessors operate.
Why we use this data
We use analytics to count first opens, understand retention, measure which game systems are used, and improve the experience. We use diagnostics to investigate crashes, repair defects, protect the app, and improve reliability. We do not use this data for personalized advertising or sell it.
Retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until you reset the game, clear the app's storage, or uninstall it. Usage analytics and crash diagnostics are retained only as long as needed for product measurement and reliability and are deleted under our Google Analytics and Sentry project retention settings.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data and do not share data for personalized advertising. Limited analytics and diagnostics are disclosed only to service providers acting on our behalf, or when required by law.
Children
Life Sim is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off future usage analytics in the app's Privacy settings. You can remove local game data by using the in-app reset control, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling Life Sim. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights concerning personal data. Because the app has no account system and analytics or diagnostics are not linked to an in-app identity, we may need technical details from you to locate a specific record.
